Current PTA Bylaws & Policies (Amended and Approved by NCPTA Board of Directors May 28, 2025)
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Seawell PTA election for the 2026–2027 school year. The voting period closed on June 16, and we are pleased to share the results with our current PTA membership.
The following officers will serve for the 2026–2027 PTA year:
President: Sarah Abrahams
Vice President: Lorelle Babwah Brennen
Treasurer: Robert Wingate
Secretary: Keith Starr, continuing in the second year of his term
We are grateful for the continued leadership of Elizabeth Zander, who has been a dedicated leader and champion of Seawell’s Learning Garden.
Chelsea Robinette will continue serving as a Teacher Liaison, and we are pleased to welcome Bailey Backus as an additional Teacher Liaison for the upcoming school year.
As we begin the transition into the 2026–2027 PTA year, we want to express our deep gratitude to the PTA leaders who have given so much to Seawell. We are especially grateful to Scarlett Coley for her presidency and for her tireless work on behalf of Seawell PTA during a year that brought significant challenges. Her leadership, commitment, and service helped guide our PTA and school community through a time that asked a great deal of everyone.
We are also grateful to Kathryn Jagoda for her time as past Seawell PTA President and for her long-standing service as a board member. Her care, institutional knowledge, and ongoing support of Seawell have been deeply meaningful to our school community.
Thank you as well to Clay Harris for his service as Treasurer, and to all members of the 2025–2026 PTA board for the many ways they have supported Seawell students, staff, and families.
PTA work is often quiet, behind-the-scenes, and deeply important, and we are grateful for the time, care, and energy each board member has given.
Seawell PTA serves the whole Seawell community, and we are committed to our goal: Every Family Connected. We hope the coming year will be one of renewed relationships, shared purpose, and joyful community-building.
There will be many ways to get involved in the year ahead, from helping with events and classroom support to joining a committee or sharing a skill, and we welcome every family’s participation in whatever way feels possible.
We look forward to working in close partnership with Principal Kulikowski, teachers, staff, families, and community partners to support Seawell students and help every Seahawk soar.
With gratitude,
Seawell PTA
