Volunteer at Seawell
Your time matters, even if you only have 30 minutes.
Help once, help from home, choose a predictable role, or join a small project team. No PTA experience is needed. We provide clear instructions and someone to ask.
Volunteering and PTA membership are separate choices. You do not need to be a PTA member to volunteer, and joining the PTA never requires volunteering.
New to Seawell, new to U.S. public schools, or simply unsure how PTA volunteering works? You are welcome. We’ll explain what to expect.
Decide How You'd Like to Help
Help Once
Choose a short event shift, setup or cleanup job, campus workday, or another one-time need.
Help From Home
Contribute through writing, design, translation, research, data entry, photo organization, grant support, or a local-business introduction.
Help Regularly
Choose a predictable schedule, such as a recurring Critter Corner shift, Learning Garden help, staff-appreciation support, or another defined responsibility.
Help Build or Lead
Join a small team to help shape a project, with support and existing materials from the PTA. Co-leads and first-time volunteers are welcome.
Tell Us How You’d Like to Help
Answer a few questions about your schedule, interests, and how you’d like to help. This two-minute form does not commit you to a role. A PTA volunteer will review your response and suggest one to three specific possibilities.
You can also tell us what would make volunteering easier or ask us to follow up in your preferred language.
However you participate, your help strengthens one or more of Seawell’s shared priorities: enriching learning, caring for our campus, supporting families, and creating joy and connection.
Room Parent: Connect With Your Classroom
Room Parents help teachers connect with families, organize classroom support, and celebrate and appreciate classroom staff.
Training, templates, and ongoing guidance are provided. No PTA experience is needed.
Help Build This Year’s Work
We are forming small, supported teams for projects that need help now. Choose one piece. No one person is expected to do everything.

CHCCS has volunteer and visitor procedures. If you are visiting your own child or attending a scheduled event where staff are in attendance, you may be treated as a visitor rather than a volunteer. For volunteer roles or chaperoning, please follow the current CHCCS background check process by clicking here. Background checks are valid for two years.
